Priyanka Madubashini comes from the village of Siyabalangunaya in Wellawaya – a Plan Program area where her parents and two sisters live.
She was educated at Kumaradasa Vidyalaya in Wellawaya. She passed her Advanced Level examinations and obtained admission to the University of Jayawardenapura. She is specializing in Social Science.
Priyanka says she would like to become a Teacher, and possibly return to her village to teach in the same school in which she was educated.
Update: Priyanka Madubashini studied 4 years Faculty of Humanities & Social sciences & Art at the University of Jayawardenapura. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree with very good results. She always remembers the support given to her by the Hein Kolk Scholarship program with gratitude as it enabled her to achieve her dream of getting a university education and of getting a good job.
